“Devotional Service is not a job, it is a privilege” – Srila Prabhupada

“Bhakti, or devotional service, means engaging all our senses in the service of the Lord, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the master of all the senses. When the spirit soul renders service unto the Supreme, there are two side effects. One is freed from all material designations, and, simply by being employed in the service of the Lord, one’s senses are purified.”
– Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu (1.1.12)
Thank you for visiting this page. ISKCON Berkeley is home to Their most beautiful Lordships, Sri Sri Radha-Gokulananda, Lord Jagannata, Lord Balarama and Srimati Subhadra, and Lord Chaitanya and Lord Nityananda. The temple is a wonderful spiritual oasis in an otherwise materially surcharged city of Berkeley. Dedicated to the spiritual upliftment of society, our community of both resident and non-resident volunteers lovingly serve either physically at the Temple or from outside to ensure that activities at the Temple run smoothly.
Our vibrant community of volunteers serve in diverse areas including administration, book distribution, deity worship, devotee food distribution, harinama sankirtana, kitchen services, maintenance, outreach, visitor care and, of course, the many events and festivals that we hold throughout the year!
Within each area, our volunteers come together bringing their unique skills and talents and work together for the pleasure of Their Lordships.
If you would like to volunteer for devotional services at the temple, in any of the following areas, please contact the temple president. The Temple Management will get back to you as soon as possible. Hare Krishna!
